Dodge County loses season opener to Hastings 11-2.
Kasson, MN—Dodge County could not find any answers against Hastings, one of the top teams in the State of Hockey. Hastings kept the pressure on the entire game outshooting Dodge County 38 to 11. Behind 5-1 after the first period, the Wildcats could not capitalize on a 5 on 3 power play to take away some of the momentum.
Both Gavin Geisler (So., KM) and Body Lamb (So., Byron) scored their first career high school goals on power play chances. Giesler’s goal, assisted by Jake Isaak (So., Byron) and Carl Schutz (So., Pine Island) was a nice wrist shot from the left circle. Lamb scored unassisted in the third period.

The Wildcats Charlie Blaisdell looks to cause some trouble in front of the Hasting net minder.
